The Mission and vision of DESA is to nurture and inspire passion for arts and learning in talented students who might not otherwise have an opportunity to develop their creative skills, challenging them through a rigorous dual academic and arts High School program.
Welcome to IAmEllington - An independent effort of families at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts to support the Students & Families accused in May 2018 of non-residency in the District of Columbia.
We support efforts of fraud investigation. We also demand that students are afforded established due process to protect their rights.

The wide net thrown in this investigation wrongfully swept up many DC residents who are now unfairly threatened with legal action that would deny them the right to attend any DC public school and will sue them for the tuition required of out-of-District students.
​
We support applying existing procedures that protect vulnerable students providing opportunities for explanations and corrections.
